Message From The Leadership Team
Updated 7/11/20
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As the numbers of COVID-19 cases and temperatures are on the rise, we hope that you are able to find solace and refuge in Christ our Anchor and our Rock.
This Sunday, Lillian Shinoda will be bringing the message titled “Heed the Warnings, Hold the Promises from James 4:11-5:6 and Brian Lowe will be leading us in worship in song. Please remember that we are starting at 10:00am!
Here are the Worship Service links:
Here’s the link for CoffeeHour@Home:
At the very end of this email, there are some Zoom tips. If we all follow these guidelines, it will help us to be able to enjoy the CoffeeHour@Home experience and maximize the 30 minutes that we have together. Thanks for your patience as we continue to try to work out the kinks!
On Thursday, 7/23/20, we will be having a special Racial Reconciliation Forum hosted by David Kitani from 7:30pm-9pm. The meeting link will be emailed the week of the Forum. This will be a time for us to gather in a safe space to reflect on and bring to light our own biases and prejudices about other races and ethnicities. David will lead us in a time of guided Prayer of Repentance over these things so that we can make space to receive God’s heart and perspective for all people. We will have special follow up meetings with guest facilitators in the near future. We hope that you can join us and be part of the movement!
Check your emails for the Prayer Log with updates for the week that are highlighted. Please take a look so that we can be continually lifting each other up in prayer.
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:13-16
In Him,
