childrenChildren’s Church is a wonderful children’s program that starts at 10:15am for infants to 5th grade.  While the adults are in the worship service on the first floor, the children will be on the second floor in the education building learning about God through Bible
lessons, worship songs, games, crafts and more!
We have a nursery for infants and toddlers (ages one to two), a preschool/kindergarten class (ages three to six), an early elementary class, and an upper elementary class. When the adult worship service ends, the children will be dismissed to meet their parents.  Parents of infants,toddlers, preschool/kindergarten children will have to go to the nursery/preschool/kindergarten class to pick up their children.

Through interactive Bible lessons, games, and crafts the Children’s Church teachers will walk the children through the book of Genesis learning about God’s faithfulness to the men and women of the Bible and, of course, to us.  Through these engaging and fun lessons our goal is to nurture the children’s relationship with God and encourage a life of faithfulness to Him.  The point is, your kids will learn about God and have fun doing it!

The Youth Ministry starts at 10:15am for Jr. and Sr. High Schoolers. While the adults are in the worship service on the first floor, the youth will be on the second floor in the education building studying the same Bible passage as the adults (with the exception on the fourth Sunday of each month when the youth worship with the adults). This ministry offers the youth a safe place to meet together, study God’s Word, enjoy time with existing friends, and make new ones. The junior high years are a pivotal time in life when kids are faced with tough questions and big decisions. Our focus is to equip them with biblical knowledge to make the right decisions and to make a difference for Christ.
Your youth are welcome to this ministry! We would love to get to know them and you! If you have questions about this ministry, please contact LA Holiness Church.

“Come, Follow Me.”

If you said “Yes” to Jesus’ invitation to follow Him, then you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and have begun your journey of faith!  But many of us struggle in our faith-journey and feel stagnant as time passes by.  A couple of reasons for this: 1) WE live in an instant society and as a result we are always in a hurry.  We like short commitments and want long-standing results with little investment.  But Christians can’t mature under these conditions.  The only path of discipleship is “a long obedience in the same direction.” (Eugene Peterson)  2) We live as lone-ranger Christians.  We attend church, yet we really don’t develop deep relationships that encourage our faith.  BUT, we are NOT designed to live in isolation.  We were created for community, to walk our faith-journey with other disciples so that we might spur one another on toward Jesus Christ.

The purpose of LifeGroups is discipleship, to help followers of Jesus Christ to keep on following Him “heel-to-toe”.  In a small group you will study the same Bible passage that will be preached on the following Sunday.  It doesn’t replace the Sunday sermon, but it will enhance it!  What’s great about using the Sunday sermon text as our study is that we can dig deep in the Bible passage as a group and then be more prepared to hear God as it is preached on the following Sunday.

LifeGroups provide accountability to grow in Christ in a loving and encouraging community.  Following Christ is a lifelong journey.  Don’t do it alone.  Join a LifeGroup, because the journey is better together.

How Do I Join a LifeGroup?

If you are interested in joining a LifeGroup, check out the LG+ page or contact LA Holiness Church at oms.lahc@sbcglobal.net.
Because these are discipleship focused small groups, we ask that participants commit to attending at least 80% of the meetings in one season.
prayer“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray.  Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.” (James 5:13)

familyConnect Ministries is focused on equipping and fostering healthy and edifying relationships between couples and families. It was created with the image of the Vine and the Branches found in John 15:5 which says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Connect Ministries takes the idea that we are all connected and intertwined as we grow and bear fruit for the Lord. Being connected means that we are mutually interdependent and that we can support one another through the various phases and challenges of life.

This ministry will provide opportunities and avenues for people to gain healthy skills and tools as well as a safe place to explore topics that are important in nurturing a healthy marriage and family. We will facilitate various activities such as workshops, seminars, retreats and outings that will benefit the relationships of couples and families.

We hope that you will take advantage of this ministry and that it will enhance the quality of your marriage and family relationship!
